Details
The dryer heating element assembly generates the necessary thermal energy to evaporate moisture from clothing during the drying cycle. It consists of a coiled nickel-chromium resistance heating wire mounted inside a metal housing frame. When electrical current flows through the element wire, it encounters resistance and produces heat, which is then blown through the drum by the blower fan. Common symptoms of failure include the dryer running without producing heat, taking excessively long to dry clothes, or tripping the circuit breaker during operation.
